Zero Discrimination Day

inclusion
March 1, 2022

Zero Discrimination Day, 1 March, celebrates the right of everyone to live a full and productive life, and live it with dignity.
It’s about inclusion, compassion, peace and to create a global movement of solidarity to end all forms of discrimination.

When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have to speak up.
You have to say something; you have to do something.
John Lewis, civil rights leader and politician, United States of America

On Zero Discrimination Day 2022, under the theme “Remove laws that harm, create laws that empower”, UNAIDS is highlighting the urgent need to take action against discriminatory laws that treat people differently, excluded from essential services or being subject to undue restrictions on how they live their lives, simply because of who they are, what they do or who they love. Such laws are discriminatory; they deny human rights and fundamental freedoms.
