Krish planned on running just over 4 marathons in 5 days, 115 miles from the North West to the North East of England during the cold and frosty month of January.

“In these times of great uncertainty, of uproot and turmoil across many of the poorest regions of the world, it is more important than ever that we look out for others and do all we can to help other human beings. This is the fundamental reason why I am training hard to complete the Road2Uganda and I will personally ensure that any donation, large or small, will make a difference to someone’s life!,” Krish Patel said about his challenge.

I have always wanted to help those who are less fortunate than myself particularly in terms of opportunity, education, and access to basic human needs such as food, water, and health care.
I believe the Road2Uganda gives me, and everybody who donates, an opportunity to make a tangible and meaningful difference in enhancing the lives of people in a deprived area of Uganda.”

“The Road2Uganda is a fundraising event that will push me to my very limits,” Krish admits.
He started training for the Road2Uganda on June the 20th, 2016, with the aim of having 6 months of dedicated preparation before embarking on the 4-day challenge.

“After completing the Road2Uganda, I plan to volunteer in local communities in Uganda, working with sports education for children and community development. I will get to see firsthand where the money raised will be used. This way, I can be sure that the recipients will use the money to build a better future for their families and their communities.

I have volunteered in local communities in Uganda twice since 2017 working with disabled children and in sports development at local schools. So far the Road2Uganda campaign has raised £8,036.00 ($ 11,212.00) and has officially built the ‘building of value creation’ at Hebron Junior School. This building will educate an extra 150 children per term and make a truly tangible difference to each child’s life.

Now we are changing our views to other areas of Uganda, where people are suffering, such as helping; in the slums and at educational facilities across the country.”
